Project Overview

Rebuilding a 140+ Page Website

Viqu approached the project after the end of a long-term agency contract. The website was running on a fully custom-built agency theme with extensive dependencies and undocumented logic.

Although the site appeared functional on the surface, it was operationally fragile — even minor plugin updates caused immediate breakage.

The goal was not cosmetic redesign alone, but complete technical liberation, long-term stability, and a clean, maintainable WordPress foundation.

The Challenge

Continuing on the existing stack was unsustainable and high-risk.

The Solution

Rather than patching an unstable system, the site was fully decoupled from the agency theme.

This ensured the site could evolve without developer lock-in.

The Results and
Key takeway

A Stable, Maintainable Platform Built for Scale

The platform transitioned from a high-risk asset to a long-term operational system.

Agency-built WordPress sites often fail after handover not because WordPress is weak, but because architecture was never designed for ownership.

This project demonstrates how to regain control without sacrificing scale or performance.

Client Feedback

Matloob Ahmed handled the transition away from our custom agency theme flawlessly. The website is now stable, update-safe, and significantly easier to manage.
